Chris Smanto Photography is a cutting edge, out of the ordinary photography company specializing in photojournalistic style wedding shoots and events. Chris also specializes in concert, nightclub and band photography.

Chris has photographed some of the top dj's in the world such as Paul Oakenfold, Paul van Dyk as well as local dj's such as Evan Evolution, Todd Thibo and Freddy B.

Chris has over 15 years experience in photojournalism . He was first exposed to photography in high school and quickly learned the ins and outs of the artform. Soon afterward he would become the head photographer for the North High Viking newspaper at North High School in Akron, Ohio. After graduating high school in 1993, he enrolled at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh earning his Associates Degree in Photojournalism in 1995. He then went on to work the next 11 years at the Record-Courier newspaper in Ravenna, Ohio working his way up to head photographer shortly thereafter. It was during his time at the Record-Courier that he became acquainted with award winning Beacon Journal staff photographer Ken Love that the two would eventually combine their passions for photojournalism and started shooting weddings together. Today, Ken Love Photography is one of the most popular wedding photography companies in the Greater Akron, Canton and Cleveland area taking second place in the Fox 8 Hot List for best photographer for 2009.
